The Archies

Photo diaries from travels around our humble globe are still being posted; the unemployment diary has been downsized as i am now employed! I hope to post stuff to keep you distracted from your respective employment.

The antics of Baitcar.com are funny and sad at the same time, i've posted them before here - but this one is ..... funny and sad. Once this theif knows he's about to be caught, he pulls out his crack pipe and starts puffing away, while the car is still rolling without power.

Shockingly Beautiful Photographs

From the website >> What exactly is this man doing? Communicating with his neighbors using his new Toilet Phone? Blowing up his Inflatable Toilet? Or is he simple blowing bubbles? Well the correct answer is None of the Above. This guy is using the new breath easy, Toilet Snorkel, formulated to provide a fresh air source during fires in high rise buildings. http://totallyabsurd.com/

Yes, both Ford and GM are closing plants and retreating- it is not a good sign for North American car makers. And why is this? I think it's best shown in the parable of "Jeremy Clarkson vs The Toyota Pickup".

We've seen the Top Gear host do this before with a Porsche - a very expensive car built with the heighth of German engineering and craftsmanship. But this is just an ordinary Toyota pickup verses a few walls, stairs, falling caravans, wooden shacks, and yes, the tides of the english channel. The final test you'll have to see for yourself.

Uh, aparently there was a live action Spiderman in the 90's in Japan. Well, almost Spiderman. Here's an episode loosely translated into engrish for us.

This one here has to be my favorite!!

iTunes Signature Creator

Wow, this is cool. You know how i loves my iTunes. Well JasonFreeman.net offers to make your iTunes signature file. Basically it looks at what you've played the most and merges clips from those songs to make a single.... sound.... that sounds like everything you listen to. Kind of like those radio contests where they play a beat or two from 10 songs and you have to identify it. Try it, it's cool!

What is going on on this Manhatten Rooftop?

We all knew that kid at school or that guy at work who could spin his/her pen/pencil in cool looking ways. Of course, when we tried it ourselves, our pens would fly off and disturb everyone. Well, these series of animations break it down for you, you'll be the envy of your friends in no time.

OK this is suitably creepy-- the Evil Clown Generator!

Mu-ha-ha!!! Time for some crime-boss lovin.

Unfortunately, i can't explain this one. You just gotta try it.

OK, i laffed and laffed at this. The Ricky Gervais Podcast show. And i wasn't crazy about "the office". It's a bit of a misnomer actually- it's a lot more about this guy Karl than Ricky, but honestly, it's so crazy.... i haven't laffed this much since Jeff left Coupling!

Wow. You know you are on the internet when.... you get a cross between one of your favorite cult videogames from 1987 and a favorite cult movie from 1998.

Well, this site titled We Bout That takes an obscure oponent from Mike Tyson's Punch-Out (regular readers will know my love of this game) and builds a shrine to him, crossing him with cult favorites of cinema and history. The final page has a King Hippo "Where's Waldo" (or Where's Wally for you Brits..)

This website is fast becoming the GOOGLE love-in site. Did you know they do movie listings? Seriously. Super easy, cross referenced by movie, theatre, post code and the IMDB... all fast and with no adverts. Now if they would come out with a way to convince my wife to see King Kong with me....

The Google Pack

Another Day, another Google invention that totally impresses me.

Actually this isn't really an invention of anything new, but rather putting everything a PC user needs in one place at one download. Welcom to the GOOGLE PACK

In a single download and install you get:
Norton Antivirus
Ad-Aware Personal Edition (the best anti-spyware)
Picassa (the best photo manager)
Google Earth (Formerly Keyhole Software)
Firefox with Google Toolbar (in my opinion, the best web browser)
Adobe Reader
... and a few others...

I've got just about all of these running on my machine already, but it's great to have them in one place, from one download - it will make setting up a new machine very much faster and easier. than telling your Uncle Leo one by one the things he needs to get for his PC

Update: After running the thing, i discover - whoa, it's like STEAM for apps. Monitors them, installs them, updates them automatically. That's cool.

GIF of the day!

Ever wonder how the movie ends? The Last word does what it says on the tin. Just gives you the ... last word from random movie. Huh.

Oh, and did i mention it's co-created by Jodster of JPTH and Useless Men?

Check on your neighbors to the house with Whitehouse.org . I THINK it's their official website?

We've been seeing some quality old-skool NES musical tributes - this one probably caters to the smaller crowd and therefore more cultish and awsome. Mike Tyson's Punchout, done by the Famicom (NES) orchestra, with acting!

0 to totally annoying in 4 seconds.

Page out of order? This whole world's out of order!!

Das Keyboard? Personally, I'm a Z-board man, but whatever floats your boat.

TPS Reports

Office Space meets the Superfriends. Does life get sweeter? Sadly there's no Lawrence, but hey. (Some dodgy language if you open this at the office.)

update: Yes aparently it does. Enjoy the StarWars vs Office Space Mashup too!

One of my favorite bands, Elbow, hitting "Independant Woman" ... but portrayed by smoking kittens playing xylophones and accordians. Of course.

.... so then he says to Bishop, do the thing with the hand, and Spunkmeyer is all like, yeah go for it, and Gorman is smiling and Hicks knows that he's going to look silly in front of Vasquez, but hey, Bishop never messes this trick up.

OK i've played some rubbish video games in my time - but this one takes the kabassa. "Stanley - The Search for Dr Livingston" - this barn burner puts you on the case looking for the legendary, um, missionary, with punch and jump action.

Oh boy, this could seriously torpedo a working day. Welcome to EveryVideoGame.com - and like the name suggests they are trying to amass every console game and have it directly playable through a web emulator. Bring on Mike Tyson's Punch Out and Mega Man!

Carrying on the theme of reworked games, i give you, RAMPAGE.... i mean Hulk Smashup.

Alien Loves Predator

An oldie but a goodie. The deceptecons have conquored cybertron and celebrate by.... breakdancing!

Go Robot!

Here's the same tune in different rhythm. Both are valid for different strengths!! Gonzo's Ricdiciously Dangerous & Downright Foolish Stunt Game. Kind of muppets meets Jackass. Don't uh.... don't try this at home kdis.

Bowman - like the old scortched earth, but with bows.

"We're not clear on exactly what it takes to make hundreds of fish jump toward your spotlight and into your boat, but that's exactly what happens here. It sure beats baiting your hook each time." - You have to watch it for a minute or two. But you won't soon forget it if you do.
