What's the best movie you've seen lately?

If you're like me, you like films that you can chew on. Stuff that is not like anything you've seen before. Stuff you have to see 3 times before it starts making real sense. Stuff you need a flow chart to make proper heads or tails of.

If that's your kind of film, may I reccomend PRIMER. Hard to find, yes. But do find it- if you enjoyed Memento, you'll like this. It's even more complicated- but that's ok!

Still curious? Read Roger Ebert's $0.02 on the film.

Speaking of Memento, Chris Nolan's Batman Begins is also very enjoyable!! We caught it Friday, and my wife loved it, and I very much enjoyed it. It must take real skill to create believable scenario-- a man would run around a city in tights and defend it from naughty people - It kind of turns the Batman mythology on it's head, but it sticks to the true principles. After Spiderman was so successful, I wondered if all super-guy movies would be in that mold- fortunately not! Not that there's anything wrong with spidey, just Batman in a Spidey style would be so wrong....
